fans gathered across the country on Wednesday to watch the celebrations to support the national team as they made their debut at an international soccer tournament since 1986.
Morgan Stacey, who was not born during Canada's last World Cup appearance, said cheering on Team Canada feels " pretty incredible." "This is the first time in my life that I have seen them compete in this tournament," he said. "I'm pretty excited!"
Stacey, 28, was among at least 150 people who watched Canada take on Belgium at the Burgundy Lion Pub in Montreal.
