CHICAGO (AP) - Chelsea goalkeeper Gaga Slonina is among nine players from relegated Major League Soccer teams invited by the U.S. Soccer Federation to train ahead of the Nov. 9 World Cup squad announcement.

defensemen Aaron Long, Shaq Moore, DeAndre Yedlin and Walker Zimmerman, along with midfielder Cristian Roldan and forwards Paul Arriola, Jesús Ferreira and Jordan Morris, were invited to training camp, which began on Tuesday in Frisco, Texas. on coach Gregg Berhalter's 26-man roster. The majority of the list is expected to be from European clubs with matches up to November 13.
Slonina never played in the national team. Arsenal's Matt Turner, Middlesbrough's Zack Steffen, Luton's Ethan Horvath and New York's Sean Johnson were the top four goalkeepers in the US Player Reserve. Johnson and Los Angeles midfielder Kellyn Acosta are among the teams that have qualified for this Sunday's MLS Conference Finals and hope to reach the November 5 title game.
